The development works are being carried out under the North Chennai Development Scheme in Kolathur and Thiru. V. K. Nagar constituencies were inspected by senior officials. Multiple development projects are being implemented under the CMDA’s North Chennai Development Plan, including lake beautification works, modern bus terminals, libraries, and residential complexes. The Kolathur lake park project is scheduled to be completed by January 2026. Various community welfare facilities and infrastructure projects are progressing as per schedule. Officials have directed concerned departments to expedite the work so that these facilities can be made available to the public soon.
